I am a third-year student at Fenerbahçe University, studying Computer Engineering (Full Scholarship, in English). My passion for cybersecurity is increasing steadily, and to pursue this interest, I am gaining practical experience by setting up my own virtual computer labs. In these labs, I configure virtual machines, test their integration, and perform system setups and network configurations on my own effort.
By implementing cyber attack scenarios among the virtual computers I have established, I am developing myself in both Red Team (offensive security) and Blue Team (defensive security) areas. I analyze attack logs to understand vulnerabilities and techniques in depth. These hands-on experiences allow me to approach cybersecurity incidents from both attacker and defender perspectives.
My main goal is to work in a Security Operations Center (SOC), specifically in Blue Team roles. My Red Team experiences also help strengthen my defense strategies.
This project is a command-line-based chess game that I developed from scratch using the Python programming language. My goal was to model the complex rules and mechanics of a board game by applying object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
| Feature | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Programming Language | Python |
| Development Environment | Visual Studio Code |
| Type Of Game | Based on a command line for 2 people |
| Rules | Basic chess rules. |
| Structure | Object Oriented Programming |
1907 CYBERGUARD is a cyber security club founded in October 2025 by Ali Emir Nur, Şahin Alper Polat, and Aqif Lohja. The main goal of our club is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the world of cyber security and to give them ideas about potential career paths.
Our club aims to be much more than just a simple interaction network club. Our main mission is to provide basic training in Blue Team and Red Team to students who are not interested in cybersecurity or are new to the field, so that they will enjoy cybersecurity and see it as an option for their future careers.
Ali Emir Nur currently serves as club president, with Şahin Alper Polat and Aqif Lohja serving as vice presidents. 1907 CYBERGUARD welcomes anyone interested in cyber security to join us.
